Venkids Valley Coffee Profile
About the Producer
Venkids Valley is run by husband and wife duo M.C Nanjappa and Shilpa Nanjappa, 3rd generation coffee planters. They grow both Arabica and Robusta. The plantation is meticulously block planted with single varietal coffees, maintaining traceability while picking. The plantation also has its own wet mill, fermentation tanks and drying yards.
At Venkids Valley the coffee fruit is picked in several rounds. The workers have been trained to pick only the ripe fruit. The coffee is pulped keeping the mucilage intact and then sent to the patio for drying. The coffee is raked continuously ensuring even drying.
