About this year's Christmas Blend components

Introducing this year's Christmas Blend by Quarter Horse Coffee! This coffee has been especially selected and sourced to be the perfect brew at this time of year! Delicious both as espresso or filter, with and without milk, have this coffee the way you like it, alongside your mince pies of course!

Birbirsa – Ethiopia

This coffee is the 74112 varietal and is grown under indeginous shade trees.  The name 'Birbirsa' comes from the Oroomiffa language which is a widely spoken in Ethiopia. It is a name given to an indeginious shade tree which is only found in the region where coffee is produced, and directly translates to English as a "Tree which lives longer and has wide spreading branches".

This natural processed coffee is dried on raised beds for a period of 21-28 days and then the lot is hand sorted by colour.

La Loma – Colombia

Finca La Loma is owned by fifth-generation coffee producer Juan Carlos Guerra along with his father, Eduardo Guerra. The farm is located in the Ciudad Bolívar municipality of Antioquia, right next to the Farallones del Citará forest reserve which provides access to more than 20 natural water sources that extend throughout its 250 hectares of farmland and natural forest reserves.

This lot of Castillo coffee underwent Washed processing. Ripe cherries are manually harvested before being floated, sorted, and pulped. The pulped coffee is then fermented in plastic tanks with eucalyptus leaves for 96 hours. The fermented coffee is then washed and dried on sun-exposed raised beds for 20 days.
