About Honduras Coffee Brew Bags

Try our brand new coffee brew bags! If you're looking for coffee on the go, with no brewing methods required or frills attached, than our steeping bags are for you! These small but mighty coffee bags are fully biodegradable, alongside our fully recyclable packaging.

About the Producer

Virgilio Mejia Membreño is the owner of Las Colmenas, a 3 hectare farm at 1300masl in the Rio Colorado area of San Pedro, Copan. Virgilio has owned the farm for 7 years and has recently been planting new varieties such as Catuai, Lempira and IHCAFE90, but Caturra is still the main variety.

The producers will receive about 70% of the FOB price for their micro lots. All the processing for the ML’s takes place at the Aruco mill to centralise and have greater control over the process to create consistent procedures but also to reduce the risk on the producer. The mill is also at 800masl which gives a more stable climate to dry the coffee compared to up at the farms where the weather can be less predictable. The coffee is then dried on raised beds for 8 -15 days, weather depending, on raised beds.
