We send our coffee as whole beans as standard, but if you wish to have yours ground, simply select your grind size (between Espresso, Filter or French Press) and we'll do the rest for you!

If you're looking to have your coffee ground on a regular basis, we recommend trying a subscription where we'll send you weekly pre-ground coffee!

It sure is! See our breakdown below:

New Retail Boxes
Fully recyclable & biodegradable.

Coffee Pouches
Fully compostable, made from 100% natural materials.

Coffee Bags (1kg)
100% fully recyclable plastic (4), check with your local council before recycling.

Labels
We only use paper labels with biodegradable adhesive, no plastic here.

Boxes & Tape
We use paper adhesive tape, and all our boxes are 100% cardboard and fully recyclable.

We have made the decision to remove the valve from our standard retail bags in our effort to ensure fully sustainable retail packaging; since valves are predominantly non-compostable plastic.

After tasting testing, we found that our coffee performed better in non-valved bags. Often one-way valves can not ensure volatile particles entering the bag and negatively impacting the beans inside – this includes oxygen which will increase the ageing process of the coffee.

Furthermore, valves on coffee bags were originally included in mind for higher pressure dark roasted coffee, whereas much less carbon dioxide is released from light to medium roasted coffee, making the valve more redundant.

Once opening your bag, we recommend storing your beans in an opaque, airtight container to make sure your coffee stays fresh for as long as possible.

If the label has been on for a few days, the adhesive may be fully dry and won't always peel off very easily. If you're using your coffee labels on your reusable tins, simply leave a note next time you order and we'll ship an extra fresh label with your beans.

If you have selected, or ordered, over 750g of coffee/products before 11am, your order will be shipped with ParcelForce express24 - meaning you will receive your order the following working day.

For all other orders, your order will be shipped with Royal Mail, on the Royal Mail 24® service. This service has the aim to be delivered within 1-2 working days, it can often be longer than this. This service includes tracking only once a delivery attempt has been made.

If you are receiving a payment error regarding your Postcode, this is due to the postcode you have entered not exactly matching the postcode your bank has on record. This could be either an incorrect or out of date postcode for the card you're using, or simply a formatting issue (capital letters and spacing).

Please note that we do not have any control over payment gateways and you will need to contact your bank directly to resolve any issues.

If you're still having problems with your order, please feel free to contact us and we can try and troubleshoot as best we can in order to get your coffee delivered to you.

Roasting Coffee

Our ethos when it comes to sourcing & roasting coffee from all around the world.

We roast almost everyday Monday - Friday. When you order from our website, we’ll always send out our most fresh and recently packed beans, although we recommend ensuring a resting period before you start brewing!

We source our green coffee through importers who work directly with the farmers, to develop lasting relationships with the people growing the beans, and create positive development at origin. This allows us to deliver coffee that is both ethically sourced, and of the highest quality.

We prioritise; long-lasting relationships with the farmers & co-operatives; sustainable growth at all stages of the supply chain; ethical trading; pricing averaging three times that of fair-trade; promoting positive trade; and buying direct.

If you’d like to know more about our ethos and some of the special & unique coffees we’ve been lucky enough to carry over the years. Continue reading

We use light to medium roast profiles for the majority of our coffees, especially for single origins. Espresso blends tend to have a slightly more developed roast in order to bring out the best qualities in espresso.

Nathan, our head roaster, is a certified Q Grader.
