About the Producer

Bursting with vibrant fruit character, this standout Kenyan coffee is packed with notes of blackcurrant, vanilla and grapefruit. Expect juicy berry sweetness up front, balanced by bright citrus acidity and a smooth vanilla finish that lingers long after the last sip.

Produced by 1,054 smallholder farmers delivering cherry to the Karogoto Factory in Nyeri County, this coffee showcases everything that makes Kenyan coffees so highly regarded. Grown in the fertile red volcanic soils of Kenya’s central highlands, the combination of high altitude, cool temperatures and slow cherry maturation creates exceptional complexity and clarity in the cup.

After harvest, ripe cherries are carefully hand-sorted before being depulped and fermented for 24–36 hours. The coffee is then washed, density graded, and slowly dried on raised African beds for up to 20 days, allowing its vibrant fruit character and sparkling acidity to fully develop.

If you love bright, expressive coffees with layers of fruit and sweetness, Karogoto is a perfect example of why Nyeri remains one of Kenya’s most celebrated coffee-growing regions.
